Where appropriate PDu can source toolmakers, moulders and other component manufacturers both in the UK and overseas. We liase with the suppliers throughout the project and this typically starts during the concept development stage of the project. We feel that it is very important for our suppliers to be educated in the history of a project so that when final data is delivered there is a high level of knowledge in the critical aspects of the design. The pre-production phase of our process includes tooling design liaison and GA sign off, T1 sample inspection and the organisation of pilot batch quantities for BETA testing. Once the design has been signed off for production we will conduct a formal handover of the 2D and 3D data and assign responsibility to the client. We remain available following the handover for guidance and advice throughout the life cycle of the product.
